New Path Construction is redefining what it means to be a general contractor in today’s evolving construction landscape. Headquartered in the Chicago area, the firm brings a unique combination of construction expertise, financial insight, and strategic planning to every project, positioning itself as a true partner in development, not just a builder.

Unlike traditional contractors, New Path was founded with a private equity mindset, giving the company a deeper understanding of the financial and operational drivers behind successful projects. This perspective allows the team to deliver more than quality construction. They help clients navigate the full development lifecycle with clarity and confidence.

“At New Path, we approach every project with a comprehensive understanding of both construction and the business behind it,” said CEO Adam Garcia. “Our goal is to ensure our clients are set up for long term success, not just at project completion, but well beyond it.”

This philosophy is rooted in Garcia’s background. Growing up, he watched his father build a career in construction after immigrating from Colombia, gaining firsthand insight into both the opportunities and challenges of the industry. That experience shaped his belief that success in construction requires more than technical expertise. It requires a strong understanding of finance, operations, and strategic growth.

Since its founding, New Path has experienced rapid expansion, with approximately 100 million dollars in active projects in the Chicago market alone. The firm has also expanded its geographic footprint, establishing operations in Texas, Arizona, and Ohio, further strengthening its ability to serve clients across the country.

A key differentiator is New Path’s integrated approach. By bringing architecture, pre construction, and construction services under one roof, the company streamlines delivery while maintaining control over cost, schedule, and quality. This structure allows clients to move efficiently from concept to completion with a single, experienced partner.

“Our clients rely on us to provide clarity at every stage of the process,” Garcia said. “From early planning and budgeting through execution, we take a proactive approach to solving challenges and delivering results.”

New Path’s portfolio reflects both versatility and depth. The firm has delivered projects across a wide range of sectors, including retail, quick service restaurants, automotive facilities, self-storage, healthcare, and multi-family developments. This diverse experience enables the team to bring practical insights that improve both design and long term performance.

One example is the firm’s involvement in Belle Oaks Marketplace in Richmond Heights, Ohio, a large scale mixed use redevelopment that will introduce residential, retail, and lifestyle amenities to the area. The project highlights New Path’s ability to manage complex developments while maintaining a focus on quality and end user experience.

In Texas, the company is also serving as general contractor on a high end multifamily development in Highland Park, working alongside leading development and design partners to deliver a premium residential product in one of the country’s most competitive markets.

Closer to its Midwest roots, New Path has successfully completed adaptive reuse projects such as the transformation of an industrial facility into a modern car wash in Schiller Park, Illinois. This project demonstrates the firm’s ability to unlock value in existing structures through thoughtful design and execution.

“Our experience across multiple sectors allows us to identify what drives success for each type of project,” Garcia added. “We use that knowledge to guide our clients toward decisions that enhance both functionality and long term value.”

Looking ahead, New Path continues to focus on strategic growth, including expanding its capabilities and pursuing select acquisitions that align with its vision. At the same time, the company remains committed to delivering exceptional results for its clients through a hands on, solutions driven approach.

“At the end of the day, we want to be the first call when someone is planning a project,” Garcia said. “Whether it is development, design, or construction, our team is equipped to deliver the expertise and execution needed to bring that vision to life.”

As the construction industry continues to evolve, New Path Construction stands out as a forward thinking general contractor, one that combines experience, strategy, and execution to help clients build with confidence.
